Host Hotel
The Tropicana Hotel & Casino [800.634.4000] has provided very reasonable rates for New Year's and the weekend at $189 for Tuesday and Wednesday; $49 for Thursday and Sunday; $85 for Friday and Saturday plus tax; these rates are available until Tuesday, December 9, 2008 - 5:00 PM Pacific Time. To take advantage of these rates, please mention Duel in
the Desert when making your reservation. Please be aware that New Year's is usually a sell out for Las Vegas hotels – book early.
Please keep in mind that the Tropicana has also given us an incredible deal on the fencing venue but we are required to fill our room block. If you want to support the Duel and wish to see it continue, please stay at the Tropicana and mention Duel in the Desert when you make your reservation. For additional encouragement we have implemented the following policy: All fencers staying at the Tropicana will receive a free drink ticket good for the Saturday Night Fights.
Venue
The Tropicana's Grand Ballroom will serve as our competition venue.
Fees
Postmarked/Online by December 9, 2008: $50 registration fee and $70 per event
At the door: $150 registration fee and $210 per event
